Trigger Warning: Due to the sensitivity of this chapter and the next, I wanted to post a trigger warning. The use of the word rape get’s thrown around and the situation as well might trigger those who have been sexually assaulted. Read at your own discretion.
Derek wanted to turn off that fucking alarm. What the fuck? It was a weekend. He rolled over to shut off his stupid phone.
Another body pressed into his chest and wrapped their arm over him, and their leg. “I’m not ready to get up.”
Derek froze. He turned his gaze from the phone to the body pressed against him. What. The. Fuck?
Holy shit! It was Olivia. Holy fucking shit. What the fuck happened? And worse… Derek’s eyes went wide, and he slid his hand down the back of his body to check. Yup, he was fucking naked. And that wasn’t all.
Olivia pressed herself closer to him, and then she froze. Derek knew why. He was boned up and had no way of not hiding it, and she brushed her leg against him there.
Her eyes met his, and then she shot out of bed. “What the fuck!”
Derek’s eyes went wide. She was naked. She was completely fucking naked and that did nothing but make his blood rush from his head down south. He had fantasized about this moment, but nothing freaking compared. Fuck, but she was hot.
Olivia realized she was naked way too soon for Derek’s taste, and grabbed the sheets and covered herself up. “What the fuck are you doing in my bed!”
Derek looked around. He was pretty sure this wasn’t either of their beds. “Don’t think this is your bedroom.” He sat up and pulled a pillow over his lap. “Um…I think we’re still at Erik’s.”
Olivia glanced around and found her clothes. “I can’t fucking believe this.” She turned. “No, I cannot fucking believe you!”
“What?” He rubbed his eyes to wake up. “What the hell did I do?”
“You raped me!”
That got Derek’s attention. “What!” He shot out of bed. “How the fuck did you come to that conclusion?”
“I was drunk and you took advantage!”
“I was drunk too! Hell, I don’t even remember talking to you!” He narrowed his eyes. “Are you sure it wasn’t you that took advantage of me?”
The sting hurt. Man, did that sting hurt across his face. He didn’t even see her hand coming, but she certainly met her mark.
He was still rubbing his jaw when he heard the door to the Master Bath slam closed. Derek slumped on the end of the bed and held his head in his hands. His head throbbed from the hangover, but his heart and whole body had gone numb.
Derek closed his eyes. How could he have been so stupid? One word, and that’s all it would take. It wouldn’t matter if he was innocent. His entire reputation—his future—was now in the hands of the one girl he had barely spoken to since he was ten. The one person he couldn’t stand for years until the last few months. The one he’d been crushing on for weeks.
He was utterly fucked.
Olivia stormed out of the bathroom and before she could leave the room, Derek went to stop her. “Olivia, please…please wait.”
“I just…I need to know…what’re you planning on doing? I…” Derek swallowed hard. The lump in his throat wouldn’t let him voice his concerns. Did he need to worry about the cops? Should he start saying goodbye to his friends and family? Should he be worried about Marv? Olivia’s step-dad? His own father? Was his life going to be ruined because of this?
She shook her head. “Honestly, I’m not fucking sure yet.”
She was gone.
Derek sat back on the bed. His eyes burned. He held it in. He never cried. He hated to. If he cried now, he wouldn’t stop, and he wasn’t going to fall to pieces.
Derek took a few solid deep breaths and searched for his clothes. Once dressed in at least his pants and the button up he found on the floor, he headed out. He wasn’t sure what happened to his t-shirt, and frankly, right now he didn’t care. He found Erik picking up some trash. Brandt passed out with a bunch of other people. No sign of Kody.
He joined Erik. The least he could do was help the host clean up the place. The penthouse was a disaster.
“Have fun last night?” Erik waggled his brows. “Saw you snuggled up with Olivia Godfrey.”
He shook his head. “I don’t even know what the fuck happened last night.” He stared into his friend’s eyes. “She claims…well…she um…she accused me of…shit, I am so fucking screwed.” no, he wasn’t going to voice it. Not yet. Not until the cops were pounding on his door.
Erik shook his head. “Damn.”
“D-did you see us last night?”
“Nope, sorry man. I don’t remember shit. Just waking up on the bar covered in Jello and booze this morning. I think I was trying to drink my own jello body shots last night.”
Derek shook his head in amusement. That would be something Erik would do.“Have you seen Kody?”
Derek looked over the pile of people Brandt was a part of. “At least he was smart. He passed out with everyone else. How could I have been so fucking stupid?” He tossed the trash he was picking up across the room in a fit or rage and then shook his head. “What the fuck am I going to do?”
“Figure out what happened last night? I dunno. Did she say if she was going to the cops?”
Derek shook his head. “She wasn’t sure.”
“Well, let’s hope she wasn’t as drunk and remembers what happened. Only thing we can do, really. Come on.” Erik stood, dropping the trash that was in his hand in the trash can. “Fuck this shit, let’s go grab a cup of coffee at SimBucks.”
Derek figured that’s all he could do too. “I guess.”
“Might as well enjoy your freedom while it lasts.”
“Yeah.” Only Derek’s stomach rolled at the thought of drinking or eating anything. His only thoughts were to figure out what happened, and what the fuck he was going to do?
